Technically speaking this means it isn’t the oldest church in San Sebastian as the San Vicente Church (just a stone’s throw away) was built in the first half of the 16th century. However, the construction today was built on the remains of an old Roman church that occupied the same space.

5 de mar. de 2022 · La Basílica de Santa María se encuentra en la calle 31 de Agosto, en su confluencia con la calle Mayor. Las dos calles forman una miniplaza en la que destaca la basílica. Es fácilmente accesible a pie desde el centro de San Sebastián. La mayor parte del casco antiguo es peatonal, por lo que no hay aparcamiento.
