Black Sabbath – brytyjski zespół hardrockowy, główny prekursor gatunku heavy metal. Grupa powstała w 1968 jako kwartet założony przez nastoletnich przyjaciół w Birmingham. Jego pierwotny skład tworzyli: Anthony „Tony” Iommi, William „Bill” Ward, John „Ozzy” Osbourne i Terence „Geezer” Butler.
Black Sabbath is the debut studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath, released on 13 February 1970 by Vertigo Records in the United Kingdom and on 1 June 1970 by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. The album is widely regarded as the first true heavy metal album, and the opening track, "Black Sabbath", has been referred to as the first doom metal song.
28 de ene. de 2006 · If you're a Black Sabbath fan, especially a long time one, you've seen Henry a bunch of times. Thing is, most people didn't know he's called Henry. He's something akin to Iron Maiden's "Eddie", although Henry has never come out on stage live. :) Henry is of course the "flying devil" or "flying angel" or whatever you want to refer to it.

A Black Sabbath 1999. december 16-án. B-J: Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, és Bill Ward. Ezt követően szünetet tartottak és a szólódolgaikra kezdtek koncentrálni. Tony Iommi 2000-ben elkészítette első hivatalos szólóalbumát Iommi címmel, Ozzy pedig hozzálátott a Down to Earth című albumának a munkálataihoz.
