Karyn Layvonne White was born in Los Angeles and released her debut album on Warner Brothers Records in 1988. Make Him Do Right was her third album and was released in September 1994. The album which was a follow up to Ritual Of Love, reached number 22 on the R&B chart . There were three singles released from the album.

This is Karyn's third album and it is great all across the board (production-wise, lyrically and vocally.) Jimmy Jam and her former husband, Terry Lewis produced this album, and Babyface also stepped up to compose a few numbers. There are few up-tempo tracks on "Make Him Do Right", but that is alright with me because I love ballads and mid-tempos.
