26 de ene. de 2007 · I have the original vinyl, the cd release from Germany and now this. This cd has never been available in the United States until now. Wish You Were Here kind of flew under the radar in 1974. That is a shame because this volume of music was some of the best stuff they recorded. If you are a fan of Badfinger it does not get any better then this.
Wish You Were Here, their most fully formed album, makes it clear that Badfinger -- despite never having won a substantial audience for themselves -- have lost none of their unity or their determination. 30 de nov. de 2018 · The self-titled album doesn't suffer as badly as "Wish You Were Here" does, and I believe I know the answer. Having worked in a recording studio, and knowing a bit about the industry in regards to how they expect albums to sound, sometimes mixes are compressed and/or limited BEFORE the mastering process, to try to give a little added "punch" to the mix.

Despite giving it their all, they couldn't please their label, Warner Bros, or escape the legal conflicts, and the group was torn apart. Joey Molland would leave the band shortly after its release, and essential frontman Pete Ham would commit suicide in April 1975.
