5 de may. de 2014 · Recorded over 15 months in the band's east London studio, The Horrors were determined to make an album that was brighter, more positive, and more electronic than their prior release, Skying.The group's fussing over minutiae on Luminous led to a delayed release date, but the resulting album trades in many of Skying's cloud-gazing reveries for songs with a little more grit and drive.

24 de feb. de 2014 · Luminous, their third straight great album, finds the Horrors tweaking their sound ever so slightly away from the Madchester-ish 'Skying' towards a more disco-noirish vibe of 80's synth pop. "In and Out of Sight" and "I See You" are the most obvious examples of this direction, both thumping along with straightforward 4/4 beats.
6 de may. de 2014 · There are some nice dreamy, electronic based songs on here. The Horrors expand on the dreamy, sonic textures that they displayed in Skying. This album reminds me of something that would've been huge in the end of the 90's or early 00's. Good album with a few great tracks, if you're a fan of the Horrors, pick it up, you'll like it. … Expand
