En este artículo se analiza la actitud cambiante frente a México de John Quincy Adams, de ser el primer arquitecto de la expansión territorial de Estados Unidos en la época nacional temprana hasta convertirse en ardiente defensor de la integridad territorial de México en los años treinta.
John Quincy Adams was born on July 11, 1767, in the village of Braintree (now Quincy), Massachusetts, a few miles south of Boston. His early years were spent living alternately in Braintree and Boston, and his doting father and affectionate mother taught him mathematics, languages, and the classics.
Amistad case and won the release of enslaved African captives. On February 21, 1848, John Quincy Adams suffered a stroke while sitting at his desk on the floor of the House of Representatives. He was moved to the Speaker’s Room in the Capitol Building, when he fell into a coma. He died two days later on February 23, 1848.
