According to promotional copies of the single Today, L.A. State of Mind was originally titled Hold On, the title of the final track on the album. There was also a limited edition of the album which included a bonus DVD of L.A. State of Mind: The Documentary, which runs at about 30 minutes long.

'L.A State Of Mind' is a really, really awful album. If this represents the state of mind for those living in Los Angeles, then I'm glad that I live at the opposite end of the world. Mel B rips off Sheryl Crow's 'All I Wanna Do' with the title song, all the way down to the spoken, jerky verses documenting aspects of L.A life.
