24 de abr. de 2015 · These verses in 1 Jn. 2:12-14 allow us to understand that there is a correlation between how in the natural there is a growth process of children to young men to fathers, so too in the spiritual there is a similar pattern. Believers must have patience to be nurtured by the Spirit of God into every age group.

(Romans 8:16 KJV) That is, They which are the children (τέκνα) of the flesh, these are not the children (τέκνα) of God: but the children (τέκνα) of the promise are counted for the seed. Deut 13:13 "the children of Belial" is translated "troublemakers, worthless men" In other words, Hebrew and Greek can describe the character of a person, using what in literal English appears to describe a family resembelence.
These 'fallen' children became 'mighty', great men not in terms of physical size (giants), but in terms of individual worldly achievement: success, power and physical ability. They were not 'sons of God' because they did not 'call upon the name of the Lord', they did not 'walk with God', and the spirit of God did not 'abide' in them as it did their fathers.
We see the innocence of Job throughout the book. His children and their virtue or lack thereof is not part of the scope of the book and therefore not really clarified on much. We have to take hints given throughout to determine whether or not his children died as a result of sin. And even then, we may still not know the mind of God on this matter.
23 de jul. de 2023 · The "daughters of men," conversely, would be those women who were not God-fearing. When the righteous men married unrighteous women, their children were influenced to become wicked even as were their mothers, thus increasing the magnitude of their guilt. Genesis 6:2 gives a big clue as to what was taking place.
