Nato a New York, Ray crebbe a Cliffside Park, nel New Jersey. Iniziò a cantare da ragazzo, ispirandosi a Bad Company, Deep Purple e Led Zeppelin . I primi gruppi in cui militò furono "Vendetta" e "Harlette". Nel 1985 entrò nei Terrified, gruppo del batterista Bobby Rondinelli, militando per un anno incidendo un disco che però uscì nel 1996.
Lo de Ray Gillen fue grandioso, una gran lástima que no hayan sacado el disco con su voz, aunque la tarea de Tony Martin también fue increíble luego. Según mi parecer fue le mejor de su generación, los trabajos con Badlans y SunReSun, o el disco “Wardance” con Riondinelli son excelentes! R.I.P. RAY!!! FOR EVER!!!

Ray Gillen (12. toukokuuta 1959 New York, Yhdysvallat – 1. joulukuuta 1993 New York, Yhdysvallat) oli yhdysvaltalainen laulaja, joka muistetaan yhtyeistä Black Sabbath ja Badlands. Hän aloitti uransa New Jerseyn alueen klubiyhtyeissä, ja 1980-luvun alkupuoliskolla hän liittyi Rainbow -yhtyeen rumpalin Bobby Rondinellin perustamaan Rondinelli-yhtyeeseen.
