  3. History. The present Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School was opened in September 1967 but a grammar school education in Faversham has its origins in the medieval period. From the late 12th century there was almost certainly a school for the boys in Faversham in the parish church where the National Curriculum of the Middle Ages was taught.
