Atco Records. At lantic Co rporation (Atco) Records is an American record label owned by Warner Music Group, currently operating through WMG's Rhino Entertainment. It was founded by Herb Abramson in 1955 as a sub label of Atlantic Records. Until 1968, Atco Records was used for acts that did not fit Atlantic's format, such as blues, jazz, and soul.
