With the deepest regret we must announce the death on 19 February 2022 of Gary Brooker MBE, singer, pianist and composer of Procol Harum, and a brightly-shining, irreplaceable light in the music industry. Aged 76, he had been receiving treatment for cancer, but died peacefully at home.

Gary Brooker (29. toukokuuta 1945 Lontoo, Englanti – 19. helmikuuta 2022) oli brittiläisen Procol Harum-rockyhtyeen perustajajäsen, kosketinsoittaja, laulusolisti ja lauluntekijä.. Brooker syntyi Lontoon itäosissa Hackneyssä ja perusti 14-vuotiaana ensimmäisen yhtyeensä, The Paramountsin.Siitä tuli nopeasti suosittu paikallisten nuorten parissa, ja se sai EMI:ltä levytyssopimuksen.
