Chris Rainbow geboren Christopher James Harley (Glasgow, 18 november 1946 – 25 februari 2015) was een Schots zanger. Naast zanger was hij ook eerst schilder. Rainbow nam deze naam aan omdat in het begin van zijn muzikale carrière niet aangezien wilde worden voor die andere beroemde Harley destijds, Steve Harley van Cockney Rebel.
Rainbow, whose birth name was Chris Harley, started recording again as a solo performer in 2000, with the album In a Perfect World planned to hit store shelves during the summer of 2001. However, the album was never released. Chris Rainbow died in February 2015 after battling Parkinson's disease; he was 68 years old. ~ Linda Seida

Chris Rainbow. Chris Rainbow was a pseudonym used by Chris Harley (born 18 November 1946, Glasgow, Scotland – died 22 or 26 February 2015, Isle Of Skye, Scotland) who was a Scottish rock singer, songwriter, vocal arranger and producer. He was a frequent contributor to The Alan Parsons Project .
Active as a solo recording artist between the years of 1975-1981, Chris Rainbow wrote and recorded three very highly regarded albums, Home Of the Brave (1975), Looking Over My Shoulder (1978) and this release, his third full length recording, White Trails (1979), as well as a collection of singles throughout his valued career.
