Precisamente, en esa edición de 1959 se quitaron las tildes de vio, dio, fue y fui. Ya que hablamos de las tildes que no corresponden, es frecuente ver tildes incorrectas en sustantivos graves terminados en n: Imágen, exámen, cardúmen, líquen, etc... Tal vez se deba a que en plural pasan a ser esdrújulas, y sí llevan tílde.
