Kleeer was first formed in 1972 as the backing group for The Choice Four.Two years later the band changed their name to The Jam Band (not to be confused with The Jam Band).During that period the band backed up Disco Tex & His Sex-O-Lettes on tour and for televised performances. In 1975 the band decided to play hard rock and they changed their name to Pipeline.
