They say a picture paints a thousand words, and no where is that notion truer than on the cover art of Roxy Music’s 4th LP, 'Country Life'. The contemporaneously outrageous image of two naked beauties, whose modesty is saved only by carefully placed hands and skimpy lingerie, is, although apparently blunt and simplistic; also incredibly clever and succinct.

21 de oct. de 2014 · Roxy Music was always an inherited pleasure for me, something I never knew at the time – when you’re born in 1971, knowing that Country Life was the first Roxy album to go Top 40 on the American charts in 1974 is learned trivia well after the fact, not something a three year old has any sense of or grip on.
