John Alec Entwistle (Londen, 9 oktober 1944 – Las Vegas, 27 juni 2002) was een Engelse bassist, songwriter, zanger en hoornspeler, die vooral bekend is geworden als bassist van de Britse rockband The Who.Hij wordt beschouwd als een van de grootste, meest gewaardeerde en invloedrijkste rockbassisten aller tijden, vooral omdat hij een agressieve en leidende rol had in de nummers die hij speelde.
