Cheap XMas: Donald Fagen Complete is a digital box set featuring five discs worth of Fagen albums and non-LP material. The Nightfly (1982), Kamakiriad (1993) and Morph the Cat (2006), Fagen’s jazzy “Nightfly Trilogy,” will be included with the set, as well as the disc of non-LP material that appeared in Rhino’s Nightfly Trilogy CD/DVD box set, released in 2007 and long out of print.

Donald Fagen non ha certo bisogno di introduzioni ma vorrei soffermarmi su questo interessante Box Set che vede la sua discografia da solista e un cd di extra. Il cofanetto e' il classico cartonato ma si presenta bene e all'interno ogni album e' presentato in una sorta di vinyl replica cartonata ma attenzione per ogni Album e' presente anche il suo libretto come in un classico cd Jewel case.

As one of the co-leaders of Steely Dan, Donald Fagen developed a smooth, sophisticated blend of jazz, R&B, pop, and rock, a fusion that relied on lyrical wit, technical acumen, and smooth groove. Along with his partner Walter Becker, Fagen honed this style over the course of the 1970s, a journey culminating with 1980's Gaucho.
