Peter Edward Baker, dit Ginger Baker, né le 19 août 1939 à Lewisham (South London) et mort le 6 octobre 2019 à Canterbury [1], est un batteur britannique, célèbre pour avoir été membre du power trio Cream de 1966 à 1968 avec Jack Bruce et Eric Clapton.. Il se classe à la troisième place du classement des cent meilleurs batteurs de tous les temps du magazine Rolling Stone [2].
Cream were a British rock band formed in London in 1966. The group consisted of bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker. Bruce was the primary songwriter and vocalist, although Clapton and Baker contributed to songs. Formed by members of previously successful bands, they are widely considered the first supergroup. [6]
Ginger has also previously served as the Head of On Demand Liquidity at Ripple, Head of Product, Financial Services at Facebook, and Director, Payments at Square. Baker has also been a Consultant for the Millennium Cities Initiative at The Earth Institute, Columbia University and a Managing Director for Visa Rwanda.
