While I hesitate to call "Diamond Days" The Outfield's *magnum opus*, it is probably my personal favorite of the band's albums. Arriving in 1990 after the departure of original drummer Alan Jackman and a label change from Columbia to MCA, "Diamond Days" heralded a new, albeit relatively short-lived, era for the remaining duo of John Spinks and Tony Lewis.
