22 de jun. de 2013 · The Stepney Primary and Junior High School, in St. Ann, will be renamed in honor of the late reggae legend, Bob Marley. Jamaica’s Minister with responsibility for Information, Senator the Hon. Sandrea Falconer, who made the disclosure during a Jamaica House press briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister on June 13, said the decision was approved by Cabinet recently.

Marley began to play music with Neville Livingston, later known as Bunny Wailer, while at Stepney Primary and Junior High School in Nine Mile, where they were childhood friends. At age 12, Marley left Nine Mile with his mother and moved to the Trenchtown section of Kingston.
