13 de nov. de 2023 · Dave Greenslade is an English composer and keyboard player, best known for his involvement with seminal Colosseum and also for his own band, Greenslade. His extensive career includes being a member of If and Chris Farlowe & The Thunderbirds. His own band, Greenslade made their live debut at Frankfurt’s Zoom Club in November 1972.
Geschichte. Die Band wurde 1972 von Dave Greenslade gegründet. Greenslade (Keyboard) und Bassist Tony Reeves hatten zuvor bei der Jazzrock -Band Colosseum gespielt. Keyboarder Lawson stieß von Samurai dazu und Andrew McCulloch war als Mitglied von King Crimson bekannt geworden. Er spielte auf deren drittem Album Lizard (1970) Schlagzeug.
Dave Greenslade also released five solo albums between the years of 1976 and 2011. The fantasy artwork for the "Greenslade" album was designed by renowned album cover artist Roger Dean. All but one of Greenslade's albums featured the familiar figure of the Greenslade wizard on the album cover. The album takes flight with "Feathered Friends".
