The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness was a benefit concert held on Easter Monday, 20 April 1992, at Wembley Stadium in London, England, for an audience of 72,000. The concert was produced for television by Ray Burdis, directed by David Mallet and broadcast live on television and radio to 76 countries around the world, with an audience of up to one billion.
THE MICK RONSON MEMORIAL CONCERT - enhanced 3CD edition (2001) Comments: the 2001 re-issue had the same track listing as the 1997 version, but the first 5000 copies of this re-issue came with a third, enhanced bonus CD (visual only, it features "It's A Kind Of Magic" & "All The Young Dudes"). It also corrected the track marking issues that troubled the 1997 edition.
Among those performing were long-time musical partner Ian Hunter, The Spiders From Mars (alongside Mick Ronson, they were David Bowie's backing band in the early 70's), Joe Elliott and Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Roger Taylor (Queen), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Bill Nelson (Be Bop DeLuxe), Willy And The Poor Boys (Gary Brooker, Andy Fairweather-Low, Bill Wyman), and many others.

But great is the historical importance of this concert that was released officially in 1997 and on a limited edition set had some tracks from video on a CD-rom in 2001. Plenty of interviews with Mick Ronson and memories from many of his friends, best musical contributions from Dana Gillespie Band, Willy & Poor Boys, Ian Hunter and Roger Daltrey.
