18 de oct. de 2021 · Here is my tentative itinerary below; the only thing that is locked in is the Inca Trail hike as I've reserved my tour with Gadventures. 0 - Flight to Lima, overnight layover. 1 - Fly to Arequipa / explore. 2 - Salt Flats day trip. 3 - Colca Canyon Hike.
Peruvian here living in the US but has family in Peru. There is political chaos going on right now and a lot of protest around. Most of the violent protests are South part of the country. There may be elections soon. Things outside the capital are a little more violent and there is uncertainty.
Route 1-B: Upper Terrace Route – Perfect for capturing classic photos of the citadel. Route 1-C: Portada Intipunku Route – Available only in the high season, this route leads to the Sun Gate. Route 1-D: Puente Inka Route – Also available only in the high season, taking visitors to the Inca Bridge.
I was travelled around most of Peru in Jan and Feb 2022 and had an amazing time. I was solo most of the time so I stayed in hostels and they were great. You will have to fly into Lima but I wouldn’t do anything there unless you like museums. Mira Flores is Lima has a pretty coast line but there are much better parts of Peru.
28 de dic. de 2021 · In Cusco you can visit various archeological sites and Machu Picchu, it’s also fairly safe for tourist (but you should always be careful). Regarding Lima, there’s also various archeological sites inside the city and a lot of museums; apart from that you can also visit the various restaurants.

Then the bus will be much much lighter to avoid the collapse of the road. Que avesado el conductor, no muchos lo pensarían si ven que existe un abismo cerca.
I just arrived from Peru two days ago and stayed there for about 10 days. First of all: most parts in Peru are safe. There is an increased amount of police officers in all public spaces and everyone seems to be more vigilant than usual. Still, 99% of the time, you couldn't even tell that there has been any riots going on.
