2 de oct. de 2024 · I can see the argument, and agree with it to an extent, that 2049 is the better movie in terms of story and characterisation. However, Blade Runner was far more groundbreaking, influential, and, although I hate the term, iconic. The world Blade Runner created was pretty much the prototype for what would become cyberpunk, especially visually.

2 de oct. de 2024 · I'll have to give 2049 another go. I found it stunning to look at, but the story/themes didn't resonate with me the way they did in the original. Experiencing the director's cut LaserDisc back in the day is something I'll never forget after having been so used to the theatrical one.
