I know .NET 8 just came out but I was wondering if there‘s any information about the availability of .NET 8 in CI/CD pipelines of Azure DevOps. The Microsoft hosted agents only support .NET 7. And I can‘t set up a self hosted agent either because .NET 8 is not yet available via apt install on Linux, apparently.

26 de sept. de 2022 · It is not officialy deprecated (an knowing MS they will probably be supported for the existing functionality for a pretty long while). However, its pretty clear that all efforts for development are directed towards the YAML pipelines and there will probably be a growing amount of scenarios and features unsupported in the Classic pipelines.

It’s got to be possible since it converts the other way, but no one seem to be doing it for obvious reasons. However- azure devops has been designed to create software, and hence many of the properties on the work items are software related.
