Hayward and co-stars John Wayne and Agnes Moorehead were smokers, but 91 of the 220 people involved in making the film developed cancer within 25 years of shooting.

Based on "End as a Man" by Calder Willingham it's strange alright, if only for the homoerotic sadism dispensed at the Citadel by newcomer Ben Gazzara (who gets it in the end...). Stretched the limits for1957. Also the debut of George Peppard, looking fine.
3 de mar. de 2013 · Linda Evans was devastatingly beautiful, and had that wonderful earthy quality that combined well with her emphemeral beauty. Krystle was always more fascinating as an outsider. In succeeding seasons, she became frustratingly more and more shallow and one dimensional as her shoudler pads got bigger and bogger.
