They are rescued by a Japanese ship out on a government mission. The captain of the ship welcomes the X-Men aboard but tells the group that they are unable to make radio contact until the ship returns to Japan. While at the school, Jean - who believes the X-Men are dead - is leaving for a vacation.
Full Summary: (Drake Passage) Aboard their makeshift raft, the X-Men struggle to maintain control of their transport as the storm rages around them. Ororo has taken to the air to try and attempt to bring the weather under control but it is fierce and she is finding her power might not be enough.
