6 de ago. de 2023 · Today, we will be talking about Andy Warhol and his famous banana cover of The Velvet Underground & Nico, the debut album by the Velvet Underground. Released in March 1967, the album was recorded in 1966 while the band was featured on Andy Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable multimedia event tour.
The Velvet Underground & Nico es el primer álbum de estudio de la banda estadounidense de rock: The Velvet Underground, lanzado en 1967 con la colaboración en las voces de la cantante alemana Nico.
The album cover for The Velvet Underground & Nico is recognizable for featuring a Warhol print of a banana. Early copies of the album invited the owner to "Peel slowly and see", and peeling back the banana skin revealed a flesh-colored banana underneath.
