The Doomsday Zone is the true final zone of Sonic 3 and Knuckles / Sonic and Knuckles. The player can only reach this level by attaining all Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds via Special Stage. The goal is to transverse through asteroids and missiles to catch up to Dr. Robotnik and have him accidentally hit himself with his own homing missiles.
