This version (without recap and second credit roll) has previously been released on DVD as Dune: Extended Edition. Several longer versions have been spliced together, particularly for two other versions, one for San Francisco station KTVU , and the other a 178-minute fan edit from scratch by SpiceDiver.
6 de sept. de 2021 · An extended, 190-minute “TV version” of the film was later created, but Lynch hated this so much that he asked to have his name removed from it (so the infamous “Alan Smithee” is credited instead). Nevertheless, in any version, Lynch’s Dune is just not a good film. Yet to this day, it has many fans and it’s not difficult to appreciate why.
