Their grandson Jackson was born in December 2010 to Josh and his wife, singer Roxy Saint. After Evans' 2019 death, MacGraw told The Hollywood Reporter, "Our son, Joshua, and I will miss Bob tremendously, and we are so very proud of his enormous contribution to the film industry."
Evans was born in New York City to actress Ali MacGraw and producer Robert Evans. His father was of Russian-Jewish descent, and his maternal grandmother was of Hungarian-Jewish ancestry. His maternal grandfather was Irish.
