St Peter's School is a co-educational private boarding and day school (also referred to as a public school), in the English City of York, with extensive grounds on the banks of the River Ouse. Founded by St Paulinus of York in AD 627, it is considered to be the third oldest school in the world although some historians take a more ...
Boarding. We accept a smaller number of overseas boarding pupils each year from age 11 (J4 / Year 7) upwards. Entry is extremely competitive and you should contact us as early as possible and prior to making an application. All overseas boarders must have an educational guardian who lives within two hours' drive of the school.

We have five Boarding Houses at St Peter’s, each proud of its history, character and the achievements of residents past and present. Our Boarding Houses are all located on or close to the St Peter’s campus, providing easy access to the school and its fantastic facilities.
