XProtect® Smart Client users frequently see the message "Server lost connection to camera" and/or live video frequently drops out. This article will provide you with some troubleshooting steps for this issue.
In this course, you troubleshoot connectivity issues in an XProtect VMS installation, using basic troubleshooting tools. After completing this course, system integrators and administrators will be able to: Diagnose and resolve a user login issue. Diagnose and resolve a Recording Server connectivity issue.
Troubleshooting. A problem which may occur with XProtect Screen Recorder is that the recording server and the computer with XProtect Screen Recorder installed cannot connect. These are probable causes: The configured TCP port is not open on the firewall that the XProtect Screen Recorder is installed on.
