18 de ago. de 2009 · Jack Peñate nació en 1984 en el sur londinense, y a los 17 años formó su primera banda, que luego se disolvió para formar The Maccabees por un lado, y el camino en solitario de Jack por el otro.. Tiene un mix ecléctico de estilos, que le posibilita incorporar elementos de un amplio rango de influencias, desde el rockabilly y folk hasta jazz y trip-hop.
Peñate played at the 2007 Oxegen festival in Kildare, Ireland. Peñate was one of the contributors to the "Janie Jones" charity cover single.
