An Urban Leader in Affordable Higher Education. Hunter College, located in the heart of Manhattan, is the largest senior college in the City University of New York (CUNY). Founded in 1870, it is also one of the oldest public colleges in the country.
Hunter College is a public university in New York City. It is one of the constituent colleges of the City University of New York and offers studies in more than one hundred undergraduate and postgraduate fields across five schools. It also administers Hunter College High School and Hunter College Elementary School.
CUNY—Hunter College's ranking in the 2024 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities North, #21. Its in-state tuition and fees are $7,380; out-of-state tuition and fees are $19,050.
