11 de abr. de 1988 · Brook Benton, the popular baritone singer and writer of ballads who had many hit songs in the late 1950's and 60's, died of pneumonia Saturday at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, Queens.
Weakened from spinal meningitis, Benton died of pneumonia in Queens, New York City, at the age of 56 on April 9, 1988. He was survived by his wife, Mary Benton, and six children: Brook Jr., Vanessa, Roy, Is'real, Gerald, and Benjamin, all of Queens. Discography Benton in 1970 Albums
