The Reeperbahn (German: [ˈʁeːpɐˌbaːn] ⓘ) is a street and entertainment district in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg's nightlife (the other being Sternschanze) and also the city's major red-light district.
Reeperbahn is Hamburg’s party central, comprising everything from nightclubs and erotic theaters to cabarets and art galleries. In the 1960s, the district’s dive bars also played host to bands like The Beatles and The Jets.
