Mulan was mistreated by a lot of people, because she didn’t fit into designated gender & social role. She saved China from attack of Hun horde and lifes of her comrades during battle. But once her gender were revealed, casted away without second thought by her own people.
Shan Yu is trapped in a large birthday box with a firework by Mulan and dies in the explosion. He is the only villain to be killed in the show. This is also the only Disney Park show/event so far where he has a speaking role.
