The Columbus Metro Bike Map gives you a color-coded view of the user-friendliness of on-road bike facilities in the core of Central Ohio. The PDF map also features safety tips, a one-sided view of the regional map, and a larger inset of the downtown/Ohio State University area.
Bike lanes are typically on the right side of the street, between the adjacent travel lane and curb, road edge, or parking lane. This facility type may be located on the left side when installed on one-way streets, or may be buffered if space permits.
5.1 Shared Lanes. Where dedicated bike facilities (e.g., bike lanes, buffered bike lanes, separated bike lanes, or shared use paths) are not provided, bicyclists and motorists must share travel lanes. Shared lanes may be identified with signage and markings or be left unmarked.

Left-side bike lanes offer advantages along streets with heavy delivery or transit use, frequent parking turnover on the right side, or other potential conflicts that could be associated with right-side bicycle lanes. The reduced frequency of right-side door openings lowers dooring risk.
