From the Eurovision final in Moscow 2009 - the votes are counted and the winner is Alexander Rybak, Norway.
The song won the competition in the biggest landslide of the contest's history, becoming the Norwegian entrant –and Rybak the performer– for Eurovision. "Fairytale" won with a combined televote and jury score of 747,888, in the biggest victory of the Melodi Grand Prix's history.
Representing Norway in the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia, he won the competition with 387 points—the highest tally any country has achieved in the history of Eurovision under the then-voting system—with "Fairytale", a song he wrote and composed.
