Strike Back is an action drama thriller that follows the missions of Section 20, a secretive unit of British military intelligence. The series has eight seasons and 77 episodes, with Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton as the main characters.

John Porter resigns from the SAS following the aftermath of a rescue mission in Iraq on the eve of the American led invasion in 2003, where two fellow soldiers were killed, apparently by a thirteen-year boy Porter had failed to kill, leaving him responsible.
The series follows the actions of Section 20, a secretive branch of the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, aka MI6), who operate several high risk, priority missions around the world. The six-part first series began broadcasting on Sky One on 5 May 2010.
