The Mimic is the main antagonist of the Tales from the Pizzaplex series, as well as the RUIN DLC for Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. It was an experimental artificial intelligence created by Edwin Murray to copy any movement it sees and care for his son, David Sean Murray, whilst Edwin worked.

Mimic1, better known as the Mimic or Glitchtrap, is the main antagonist of the Steel Wool era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. It is an artificial intelligence meant to mimic the behavior it sees that became obsessed with William Afton and seeks to continue his legacy.

Is there two Mimic programs with different backstories (one remembering and mimicking its plush tiger and one witnessing Afton's actions)? Or did it just randomly decide to mimic Afton instead of the tiger for no reason?
In FNAF SB Ruin, the Mimic is a main antagonist who lures Cassie into Pizzaplex, pretending to be Gregory. The protagonist encounters this animatronic at the end of the game. It is impossible to defeat it, the only thing you can do is to run away and listen to Gregory’s (the real one) instructions.
