27 de sept. de 2022 · Little Walter, a blues legend and harmonica innovator, died of coronary thrombosis in 1968 at age 37. He had a history of alcoholism, conflicts with bandmates, and a bar fight before his death, which may have aggravated his heart condition.
The official cause of death on his death certificate was coronary thrombosis (a blood clot in the heart); evidence of external injuries was so insignificant that the police reported that his death was due to "unknown or natural causes", and no external injuries were noted on the death certificate.

Influenced by guitarists as well as by senior harmonica players, he brought a singular variety of phrasing to the blues harmonica.
