Užice (Serbian Cyrillic: Ужице, pronounced ⓘ) is a city and the administrative centre of the Zlatibor District in western Serbia. It is located on the banks of the river Đetinja . According to the 2022 census, the city proper has a population of 54,965.

Užice, town, southwestern Serbia. It lies along the Djetinja River and the Sarajevo-Čačak-Belgrade railway line. A medieval town of strategic importance, Užice was the headquarters for the Partisan army in autumn 1941. It was renamed in honour of Josip Broz Tito in 1946 but reverted to its old name in 1992.
Užice is a city in Western Serbia. It has an attractive setting, in a limestone gorge, with red-roofed houses spreading up the hillsides. However, the central area is largely concrete (1960s?) and quite run down.
Užice’s City Beach is now one of the most popular spots in town when the sun is high, a hub of equal parts energy and tranquility. Go back in time at the Old Town. The Old Town in Užice is absolutely deserving of the term, seeing as it is a comprehensively ruined 13th-century construction sitting high on top of a hill.
