Harry Alan Towers (19 October 1920 – 31 July 2009) was a British radio and independent film producer and screenwriter. He wrote numerous screenplays for the films he produced, often under the pseudonym Peter Welbeck .

Harry Alan Towers was born in London on 19th October, 1920. During the Second World War he was Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force. Later he became program director for British Forces radio.

Legendary exploitation producer Harry Alan Towers was born in London in 1920. His father was a theatrical agent, and Harry was a stage actor in his childhood. During World War II he served in the Royal Air Force, during which time he produced many shows on radio.
