American artist Russell Powell has spent thousands of hours perfecting his signature hand-stamp technique. Beautifully detailed works are painted first on the palm of his hand and then stamped onto Hahnemuehle paper, creating a one-of-a kind mono-print. Powell calls his world unique technique “hand stamping”.

California based artist Russell Powell creates realistic portraits on unconventional surface – his own hand. Painting on the palm has its own characteristics and originality. Incredibly, the textured surface does not keep him from adding intricate detail and dramatic shadows that give the impression of three-dimensionality of the picture.
