John Law Hume. Mr John "Jock" Law Hume, 21, lived at 42 George Street, Dumfries. He was the son of Andrew Hume, a music teacher. He had a fiance, Mary Costin, who it later turned out was pregnant with Hume's child. Hume died in the sinking; his body was later recovered by the MacKay Bennett.
