Los demostrativos ( demonstratives, en inglés) son this, that, these, those. Sirven para señalar a qué persona o cosa se está haciendo referencia. This y that se emplean con sustantivos contables en singular, y these y those con sustantivos contables en plural.

Like all pronouns, demonstrative pronouns represent nouns or noun phrases. More specifically, a demonstrative pronoun represents something that has been previously mentioned or is understood from context (called the antecedent of the pronoun).
A demonstrative pronoun represents a thing or things that can be NEAR in distance or time (this, these) or FAR in distance or time (that, those).
