Abstract: This paper analyzes the irrupcion of urban guerrilla warfare in the city of Monterrey, in the first half of the 1970s. The primary objective is to identify those public spaces that had a crucial role in the joint and adoption of the armed violence as possible modality of radical political change in the country.

RESUMEN El presente artículo analiza la experiencia armada del movimiento de guerrilla urbana en el entorno regiomontano durante la primera mitad de la década de los setenta del siglo XX. Se parte de un estudio de caso de corte cualitativo, cuya finalidad radica en remitirnos a las imágenes y discursos que los guerrilleros crearon de sí mismos.
